Wir haben einen Tektronix M4115B (ein Terminal-Monitor aus dem Jahre 1983), den wir bis 1999 an einem Linux und Windows-PC in Verbindung mit einer ELSA Winner Grafikkarte eingesetzt haben.
We own a Tektronix M4115B (a terminal-monitor made in 1983) which we used till 1999 with a Linux and Windows-PC in connection with an ELSA Winner VGA-board.
Es ist ein Festfrequenz-Autokonvergenz-Monitor, Zwei-Knopf-Bedienung: 1 Taster für Demagnetisierung und automatische Konvergenzjustage (fehlt bei manchem Monitor heute noch!) und ein Helligkeitspoti. Kein Einschaltknopf, da er normalerweise vom Terminal (Größe eines kleinen Schreibtisches) eingeschaltet wurde.
The device is a fixed-frequency autoconvergence monitor, it has two controls: a toggle switch starts the degauss and autoconvergence sequence (the latter is even missing from some of todays monitors) and a potentiometer for brightness control. No on/off-switch as this is was initiated by the terminal (as large as a small desk).
64kHz Horizontalfrequenz / horizontal freq. 60 Hz Vertikalfrequenz / vertical freq. ca. 120 Mhz Bandbreite / bandwidth 1280x1024 sichtbare Auflösung / visible resolution 1400x1100 nominelle Auflösung incl. Front- und Backporch / nominal res.
Hochspannung mit der Ablenkung synchronisiert, daher beim Anlegen falscher Frequenzen Zerstörung des Monitors möglich.
High-voltage PSU is sychronized with the deflection unit, therefore it might be possible to destroy the monitor by feeding off-spec frequencies.

Kennt jemand das Protokoll der 14-poligen serielle Schnittstelle dieses Monitors und die Befehlsyntax um die Parameter für das Bild zu ändern bzw. den Monitor softwaremäßig zu justieren?
Does anyone know the protocol of the 14-pin serial port on the back of this monitor and/or the command syntax to adjust the parameters for the picture or to adjust the monitor via software as far as this is possible.
Natürlich würden wir uns auch sehr über Literatur, Service-Handbücher, Schaltpläne und ähnliches freuen.
Of course any literature, service manual, schematics etc. would be greatly appreciated.
